For more than 70 years, Pensacola Little Theatre has given the community quality entertainment and a creative outlet for theatrical arts. Our three distinct series - MainStage, Treehouse, and Studio 400 - offer 12 shows a year, including family favorites, classic comedies, lavish musicals, and cutting edge dramas. Each season, PLT also stags at least four special productions, meaning we open at least one new show evey month. All of our cast and crew members are volunteers, and everyone in the community is invited to audition for a role or to work behind the scenes. Training is provided as needed, at no charge.
PLT conducts more than a dozen youth theatre classes each year as well, with programs available for children from pre-k through high school. Each class and summer camp gives a thorough grounding in theater, from acting and character development to costumes and set design. The end result is a complete performance for family members. PLT’s education program also includes adult acting classes under the name Theatre Works University.
PLT is housed in the three-story Pensacola Cultural Center, an historic building constructed in 1911 as the Escambia Court of Records and Jail. Our 442-seat theatre, our Courtroom, Gallery, Atrium, and Green Room are available for rental for business meetings, conferences, seminars, parties and events.
