Santa Rosa Arts Agency to Administer Grants for Community Organizations
9/15/2009
The Santa Rosa Arts and Culture Foundation, Inc. (SRACF) announces the 2009 Community Arts Grant Program. The SRACF will be allocating several grants of $500 dollars or less, and accepting proposals for up to $2,500 from Santa Rosa County Arts and Culture based organizations.
The SRACF is now accepting grant applications for the 2009 Community Grants Program. Total funds available for grants will be $15,000. All grants must be matched on a one-to-one (100 percent) basis with cash.
In 2004, the Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners designated the SRACF as the Arts Agency of Santa Rosa County. Grants funding will be limited to Santa Rosa County organizations. Regional programs should contact the Grants Committee to determine eligibility. Young, emerging organizations are encouraged to apply.
The following criteria must be met for eligibility:
1. The applicant organization must be based in Santa Rosa County.
2. The applicant organization must be incorporated as a nonprofit corporation within the State of Florida.
3. The applicant must provide a copy of the organization’s IRS 501(c)3 tax exempt letter of determination if the grant request exceeds $500.
Grant applications must be received by 3:30 pm on September 15th, 2009 at one of the following two (2) locations:
1. SRACF Administrative Office at the Dragonfly Gallery, 5188 Escambia Street, Milton 32570
2. Santa Rosa County Administrative Complex, Office of the Board of County Commissioners (Room 401), 6495 Caroline Street, Milton, Florida, 32570.
Applications are available online at the Santa Rosa Arts and Culture Foundation’s website at www.sracf.org and www.santarosaarts.org.
The SRACF is also seeking nominations of individuals, with a strong background in arts and culture participation within Santa Rosa County that may assist with the grant evaluation process.
